Bogotá Weather: It’s freakin’ cold

In line with yesterday’s post about the cold weather in Bogotá, the paper broke the news today: The IDEAM (National weather people) predicts that it’s only going to get worse, and remain that way until mid-December.

Cold, rainy, windy, humid, miserable…20 out of October’s 31 days will see rain.

I really hope they’re wrong. In the meantime, bundle up, don’t step foot out of your home without an umbrella and look for ajiaco, sancocho, caldo con costilla, aguapanela, aromática, chocolate caliente…bbrrr!

“Quien le crea al Ideam esta loco, bloqueador y gafas al 100%.”

Fabulous picture and terrible news. I love the short post though. You are inspiring me.

Terrible news indeed. Yet, look outside! The sun is shining! I don’t mind the rain at night if every morning looks like this.

True! What a brilliant morning – although I can almost bet it will start pouring the minute I decide to go out to lunch.

That happened yesterday but it turned out to be a blessing of sorts. I ended up having lunch at PUERTO COLOMBIA on 9th and had the most amazing plantains. I’m going to try and make my own this weekend…mmmm
