Chigüiro at El Motorista redux

A couple of years ago I wrote about a place called “El Motorista” which is where I first ate chigüiro (read more about that here). I didn’t take any pictures on that occasion but this weekend I returned and I made sure to have a camera in hand.

Here are a few images to give you a better feeling for the place. And once again I must reiterate, chigüiro meat is truly delicious even though it is, you know, a giant rodent.

to the butcher. He chops it up into more manageable pieces.

Who knew so much meat, potato and plantain could fit onto one tiny plate.
